Birchtail's Secret - Chapter 4

Birchtail looked around at all the cats in his new enclosure thing. He was looking around, when a cat came up  him. It was a black cat who was looked like she was about about to speak when Birchtail let out a hiss. She backed away looking wary, soon a large white cat came to see the new cat. Birchtail thought that this white cat looked like the leader. "What do you want?" asked Birchtail sharply. "You might want to know that I am the leader here, I fought for my position." "Fought?" Birchtail asked, this cat didn't look like it even had claws. The white cat nodded, "as leader, I fight every cat, if they win they become leader." "So you are going to fight me?" asked Birchtail. The white cat nodded and leapt at Birchtail. Birchtail let out a yowl and ducked. The white cat turned and hit Birchtail with a soft paw. "If you want to win you are going to have to fight harder than that," spat Birchtail. "How?" asked the cat curiously. "Use your claws." he snapped. "Claws? What are claws." said the cat. Birchtail stared, before speaking, "You don't have claws?" Birchtail asked the cat. The white cat shook his head before showing Birchtail a white paw. Birchtail just looked on. "Now back to the fight," said the white cat. The white cat ducked and bit Birchtail. Birchtail let out a yowl and whirled around and slashed the white cats ears. The white cat retreated before charging again. Birchtail leapt into the air and landed on the back of the white cat, he flipped the cat over and pulled out tufts of fur. Suddenly the white cat retreated looking wary, Birchtail looked behind him to see a star swirl down to reach Birchtail, it became a pink cat. "Don't loose your hope, you will be reunited with your clan before long. The fruit saw everything, it's sister the herb went for help. The fruit and the herb have both been helping all they can in search patrols, you will see the clan again." With that the cat vanished. "Fruit and Herb? Clan?" asked the white cat. "You live in a group of cats in the woods." said the white cat. "Who is Fruit and Herb?" asked the white cat. Birchtail didn't know. "I know," it was the black cat. 

Birchtail's Secret - Chapter 3

Sunflower watched with narrow eyes as she watched the opponents battle plan, then she realized that they didn't have a plan at all. As all of Peachfur's patrol charged towards the fern, it gave Birchpaw and Applepaw to slip past them to snag a few berries on their claws. Suddenly Peachfur let out a yowl, "don't forgot to watch the berry bush." All of her patrol let out a yowl and charged at Birchpaw and Applepaw. "Help them, and Mosspaw don't forgot the plan," Sunflower said. "Suddenly Birchpaw tripped and fell while climbing up a tree. When he woke up, it was moons later. "Are you okay?" asked Windfur the medicine cat. Birchpaw nodded. "You missed a lot when you were gone. Flowerpaw is Flowerfur, Greenpaw is Greenwhisker, Tigerpaw is Tigerstripe, Waterpaw is Waterfur, and Mousepaw is Mousepelt. Thistlefish is now Thistlestar, Sunflower is deputy and Whiteberry is Senior Warrior. Littlewind has 3 kits, Berrykit, Windkit and Whisperkit." she said. Stormpaw turned to his patient and added, "your warrior ceremony is tonight." Birchpaw nodded. "Birchpaw you are a useful asset to our clan, I name you Birchtail." Birchtail nodded. He turned towards his nest near the edge of the clearing. Later that day he was out hunting when he saw a bright orange or ginger cat. A few minutes later he was caught in some sort of mesh. He cried out, but all that came was a large human creature. It turned and looked at Birchtail. It swooped down and Birchtail was put into a hard sided box thing. He was then brought to a large building, he could hear the human creature speaking in a weird language to someone who was holding a cat. The human creature set the cat down with the others and turned to the german shepherd next to her. Birchtail didn't know why so many animals were in one area. 

Birchtail's Secret - Chapter 2

"Birchpaw?" she asked tentatively. Birchpaw turned to see the golden, yellow cat. "What do you want?"snapped Birchpaw. "Why don't you sleep in the apprentice den like all of the other apprentices?" She asked. Birchpaw growled and turned away. Applepaw turned away and padded back to the den leaving Birrchpaw sitting in the rain. The next morning Mountainmist padded over to Birchpaw and told him that they were going to be training with the other apprentices. "What kind of training? asked Birchpaw. "Battle," said Mountainmist. When they got to the clearing all the other mentors and apprentices were there. "Now we are going to set up a mock battle." said Grayleaf to all of the apprentices. "One team is going to try to capture the ferns, and the other the clump of holly berries." said Oakclaw. The apprentices began chattering among each other. "Applepaw, Mosspaw, Flowerpaw, and Mousepaw are on a team." said Sunflower. "While Greenpaw, Sagepaw, Dragonpaw, and Waterpaw are on a team." announced Peachfur. "Sunflower will be the head of the patrol trying to capture the berry bush, while Peachfur will be the leader of the patrol trying to get to the ferns." said Mountainmist. "Leaders of the patrol will go with the patrol that their apprentice is on." She added. Suddenly Firestorm came skidding into the clearing, "Tigerpaw can't come to training today, he hurt himself hunting." he said. The mentors nodded. "What about me," asked Birchpaw. "Which patrol do I go on?" he asked. "We have an odd number of apprentices today," said Mudpaws. "Well, you can join Sunflower's patrol," said Honeyfrost. Birchpaw nodded. Sunflower turned and beckoned them all with her tail. "Do we have to bring a berry or a fern back to our side?" she asked. Poppyfern considered before saying, "yes we will see how well they can get there and back without having to surrender the berry or fern. It will make the battle more interesting." Sunflower nodded. "What I want is Mosspaw, Flowerpaw, and Mousepaw help defend the fern so they can't get to it, while Birchpaw and Applepaw try to get the berry. You can help each other, once you get to the bush, snag a berry or 2 on your claws, race over where Mosspaw will be waiting to take it." All the apprentices nodded. Peachfur on the other hand was struggling to create a battle plan. "Just try to use defensive moves to defend the plant and use offensive moves to get to the ferns." With that Peachfur nodded to Sunflower who leapt up on a rock and let out a yowl, "Who dare you take one step near our fern, you will pay." With that the two groups of apprentices leapt into the mock battle.
